A really great family-run hotel! Very friendly and warm! Huge, clean and updated rooms. We had a wonderful sleep. Dinner is also highly recommended! And I would like to emphasize the quality of the food including breakfast again !!! We would love to come back from Hamburg to the Hotel zum golden Greif!

Nice family run hotel. You arrive and feel at home. The rooms are clean and modern. The dinner every night was great and inexpensive. Wishes were gladly fulfilled. We always felt welcome with our son. So especially recommended for families with small children ?. We would love to come back

You won’t find nicer people who genuinely care about delivering excellent service as well as homemade amazing food. We spent 8 nights here and they made it feel like home. If you are getting stationed at graf or Vilseck and on post is full make the drive to this place you will be happy you did. Make the drive for restaurant if you are searching for great food!

I love the place and the people

I have eaten for many years. This latest visit was great as my wife and both had soups, mushroom and goulash. The side salad is one of the best salads we have ever gotten at a restaurant. We shared a jaegerschitzel that was quite good. We will come back again for sure sooner rather than later.

The Heldrich Family provided a very warm welcome to all of us at General Dynamics. The rooms, hospitality and amenities were the best we could find. The cuisine in their restaurant was absolutely amazing. Every time I go to this area of Germany this is where I call home away from home. Great job and we at General Dynamics miss you all.

Really had a great stay here. The room was nice, but what really made the stay for me was the spa and pool. Really nice and cozy, was a great place to relax after work. The restaurant was also great - affordable and the food was delicious. I'll definitely stay again in the future.

We stayed here for Christmas and it was a pleasant atmosphere, the service was very accommodating and the food plentiful and delicious. A clear recommendation from us. Gladly again.

Phenomenal

We stormed with 43 hikers and a dog, who were also logged in, the owner-run tavern, which deserves the name restaurant. I come quite a lot around in our beautiful area and the inn & Hotel Goldener Greif in Edelsfeld is one of the very few localities, where I could find absolutely no negative impressions. Although the Golden Griffin was almost fully booked this Sunday, the crew kept the absolute calm and efficiency. The drinks were very fast and the food order, as well as the payment process was handled very professional. In addition, all visible employees, next to the boss were very friendly and accommodating. I also found a nice place with my dog, on the recommendation of the owner. Thanks a lot for this! The food, a gypsy roast with dumplings and salad was excellent and the price structure in the price / performance ratio was ideal. Conclusion: A locality that is worth to visit, to dine there and to admire the wonderfully designed guest rooms, which were also very clean.

Country hotel with own butcher and brewery. Enjoy your meal. Rooms are spacious and ours was newly renovated. Swimming pool and sauna are in the house. Nice beer garden.

Beautifully renovated rooms, excellent food & family hospitality!

This place is the best guesthaus in Germany. I stayed here back in 2009. The hotel was is located in the small town of Edelsfeld. The family-owned guesthaus is well maintained and the restaurant is off the chain. I will be visiting again in a few months, can't wait to get back there.

Best hotel in Germany so far

I cannot review food and drink because both were withheld from us. Restaurant open, tables free, beer garden empty, but the conditions simply continued after we had spoken to us without any reaction. I have never experienced anything like it. I don't give a second chance either.

Amazing rooms and amazing restaurant. I've ordered about 6 different dishes from the menu and every single one has been amazing. The staff is amazing. Super nice people that make you feel right at home.

There is a good Service and i love it to eat there. The location is very nice. It has three rooms.

I was at a Christmas Party there. I had the Onion Soup and Cordon Bleu with French Fries. It was amazing. So I also got an dessert. I had the Apple Strudel with Ice Cream. It too was amazing. The staff was friendly and courteous. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.
